Running - the purest form of exercise since the beginning of time for both hunter and prey, the lion and the gazelle. 

And what could be better, more natural and more exhilarating than running in nature, amongst herds of various animals born to run like the wind? 

 

Whilst the countless herds of various buck, zebras and giraffe at Lake Eland Game Reserve are not hunted by any natural predators, they can still be seen constantly running purely for the joy of it. We invite you to join them on the very paths they run, for a testing but exhilarating series of laps raced throughout the day.

 

The race comprises of laps of approximately 12.5km, to be run every 2 hours for a total of 50km.

Laps will be run in batches with an elimination process applied, and prizes will be up for grabs on every lap.
